Philipp
Pollmann
Platform engineer at Deutsche Telekom, based in Cologne, Germany. I build internal developer platforms and run open-source AI models on Kubernetes — and I care as much about how things feel as how they work.
About
A bit about me
I'm a platform engineer at Deutsche Telekom and product owner of the Innovation Platform — a cloud-agnostic platform engineering platform at GSUS. I lead a team of seven DevOps engineers and stay hands-on, working the tickets right alongside them.
Day to day that means an internal developer platform on Kubernetes — from GitOps and policy automation to running open-source AI models in production.
My work lives where engineering meets people: making complex systems simple, reliable and pleasant to use. I like clean architecture, thoughtful automation, and the quiet satisfaction of something that just works.
On the side I'm finishing a master's in AI & Business Analytics — and outside of work you'll usually find me running, on my road bike, or dialing in an espresso at home.

Beyond work
Off the clock
The things that keep me curious and balanced when I step away from the keyboard.
Coffee & home barista
Dialing in beans, chasing the perfect espresso, slowly getting better at latte art — a small daily ritual I genuinely love.
Formula 1
I rarely miss a race weekend — the engineering, the strategy, the tenths of a second. And yes, my heart's with Ferrari.
Football
On the pitch myself — and a loyal Fortuna Düsseldorf & AC Milan fan. Forza!
Running
Clearing my head, one kilometer at a time.
Road cycling
Long rides and endless horizons.
Travelling
Easily my favourite way to recharge. From spontaneous road trips to far-flung cities — new places, new cultures and new perspectives are what I crave most.
Padel tennis
Fast rallies, sharp angles, good company on court.
